Palladio Refresh
Kitchen & Main floor Update
This 10-year-old home was ready for a refresh, and after careful consideration, we determined it only needed a few thoughtful updates to breathe new life into the space. We selected new countertops, designed a fresh backsplash, added an apron-front sink and updated appliances, and refreshed the interiors throughout the foyer, hallways, living room, and dining room. The result is a balance of calm, earthy neutrals paired with vibrant pops of color and traditional patterns.
We always design with longevity in mind, so we focused on timeless, neutral choices for the investment pieces (those that are expensive or difficult to change) while incorporating personality and flair through elements like rugs and lighting that can be updated more easily over time. Fortunately, the builder’s original cabinetry was already classic in style, so we carried that through with a neutral quartzite island countertop and a soapstone-like granite for the perimeter. We used that same granite on the backsplash and paired it with a limestone accent tile for a focal piece that feels unique yet timeless and full of character without the risk of feeling dated in just a few years.
Now, this home is ready for another 15 to 20 years of evolving and growing alongside its inhabitants.
